Summer 2025 Skills Camp

Simpson College Baseball is again hosting its summer youth skills camp! This two-day camp will take place on our beautifully renovated McBride Field, on Simpson College's campus. At this camp, your ballplayer will be trained in the fundamentals of baseball—ranging from offense to defense to base running. Each child will be given individual attention by our coaching staff, which is comprised of Simpson College baseball coaches & players. Coach Roling and his staff bring a love of the game of baseball that reflects onto the young ballplayers attending. With competitive drills and fast-paced activity, this is a perfect camp for youth that want to increase their skill!

Note: Campers can bring their own lunch or purchase lunch from the camp concession stand.

Players entering Grades 6-9 Time: 9:00am - 2:00pm Location: McBride Field at Simpson College Cost: $106 ($100 + $6 Fee)

Sample Daily Schedule:

8:45am - Registration
9:00am - Stretch and Baserunning
9:25am - Throwing Technique and Contests
9:40am - Water Break
9:50am - Skill Rotation
- Hitting Drill Work (batting cages)
- Defense - Primary Position (campers will choose what position they want to work on)
- Hitting (field) or competitions (over-the-shoulder catches, pickle, etc)
12:00pm - Lunch
12:45pm - Secondary Position Drill Work (campers will choose another position, including pitching, to work on)
1:10pm - Scrimmage
2:00pm - Camp Completion
